Wow, its been a while since I last posted a BLOG.
Here's whats happening this week:
We are in the middle of a small heatwave after going for weeks with nothing but dark clouds and cool rain. We played a double-header in softball yesterday in 90+ degree heat. It wasn't too bad. I have another double-header today in the other league.
I finally purchased a small MIDI keyboard controller that is small enough to take anywhere and use with a laptop as a portable workstation/studio. It even has a built-in audio/sound interface. The unit is the M-Audio Ozone, big brother(feature-wise) to the popular Oxygen8. It is ideal for use with programs like Reason, Cubase SX and the many cool software synthesizers such as Arturia Moog Modular. Last week I purchased a book called "Analog Days" that tells the story of the development of the Moog synthesizer and its impact on the entire music world. It is a fascinating story both from a technological and sociological viewpoint. With the Arturia Moog emulation software one can get a very realistic feel for the sound and vibes generated from the original hardware moogs.

whats up? I'm at work, just ordered a TV out cable for my laptop from eBay. Was about to order an IEEE 1394 PCMCIA card(Firewire) for $18, but I decided to wait until after Sat. This weekend I am going to the Big Annnual Trenton ComputerFest. (http://www.tcf-nj.org) Should be able to find one there. May as well start a list of things to look for:
1. Firewire card
2. PCR 100
3. NextStep 386 OS
4. Solar Cells
5. Smartmedia card 16Mb 3.3v(for ST-224 Sampler)
